Support recipients from the Fredrik Hermansen Memorial Fund

THE OCEAN WAS IMPORTANT TO FREDRIK. HE WAS A VERY ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN DIFFERENT AQUATIC SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES. THEREFORE, THE FOLLOWING ASSOCIATIONS HAVE RECEIVED SUPPORT FROM THE MEMORIAL FUND IN 2017:

ROGALAND UNDERWATER HUNTING AND FREEDIVING CLUB

The club received funds for purchasing club equipment to promote the sport, as well as for the joint center’s work promoting various types of water sports.

SOLA WINDSURFING ASSOCIATION

The association received support for its collaboration with the Rogaland Underwater Hunting and Freediving Club to create a joint water sports center.

Fredrik was also a sincere environmentalist. Therefore, the memorial fund puts a lot of effort into cleaning up beach areas as well as the ocean surface and seabed. Therefore, we have chosen to allocate funds to:

CHRISTINE SPITEN, CO-OWNER AND CO-FOUNDER OF BLUEYE ROBOTICS

The grant will go to an underwater drone that gives the public the opportunity to see, explore and discover a whole new world beneath the water surface. Furthermore, the drone provides the opportunity to inspect, map and uncover littering and ocean pollution.

Tore Kramer

The grant goes to Tore Kramer's efforts to commercialize the removal and management of plastic pollution. An important contribution to solving a huge problem related to ocean pollution.
